Desktop Support Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • With job experience in desktop troubleshooting
  • Highly knowledgeable in desktop/laptop hardware
  • Okay with PB employment, 10.5 working hours, shifting schedule
  • Willing to be assigned in Cagayan De Oro

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Expertise on installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers, and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance
  • With a background in basic network and server knowledge for H&E support
  • Coordinate properly with Client’s designated contact person/s for the resolution of hardware and software related problems and checking of equipment upgrade
  • Technical support with regards to Windows XP, Windows 7 Professional/Enterprise, Windows 8, Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise
  • Network Client Connectivity (Windows, AVAYA, and any mobile devices & smartphone platform: e.g. Android, Blackberry, IOS, windows phone
  • Software installation or re-installation (licensed software only and Client’s standard software)
  • Configuration of software drivers of peripheral items
  • Virus Scanning and removal
  • Basic diagnostics and troubleshooting of hardware defects
  • Restoration of files from Backup System when necessary
  • Replacement of defective parts.
  • Coordinate warranty claims, repair or replacement for those units still under warranty with other supplier
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities with the appropriate vendor maintenance provider and end-user
  • Submit documentation report on the current location and status of the unit or hardware that is being repaired
  • IMAC (Install, Move, Add & Change) is included in the scope of work Pick up & delivery of IT equipment from the Airport is included Conducting and consolidating of daily activity checklist
  • Configure PC Desktop, Laptop, Tablet, and Mobile Devices
  • Schedule and conducting of annual preventive maintenance to all IT equipment of Client across Sites.

Helpdesk Engineer

Job Qualification

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • With good or above average written and oral English communication skills
  • Well knowledgeable in networking and hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
  • Willing to work on shiftings

Job Description

  • Responds to incoming requests and resolve customer problems via phone or email;
  • Provides single point of contact between users and the IT Organization;
  • Answers concerns of employees for IT related problems and requests;
  • Performs Incident Management activities,
  • Incident detection and recording;
  • Alert specialist support groups as necessary;
  • Start procedures for handling the service request;
  • Providing initial support (assess incident details, find quick resolution);
  • Resolve incidents using solutions/workarounds.
